about camp assurance
Camp Assurance is a small Bible Camp in the corner of northeast Nebraska (50 miles west of Sioux City, IA) in Belden, NE. Camp Assurance has been in existence for more than 70 years as a non-denominational ministry with a passion for God's Word and to reach the unreached and actively disciple young believers.
The main goals Camp Assurance are to train and mobilize young leaders to share the Gospel, while seeking to pull the lost into a community of authenticity and Christ-centered life.
So What Makes Us Different?
At Camp Assurance, no one falls through
the cracks. Each camper is in a cabin group
with no more than seven other campers and
two leaders. Special attention is given to
those campers who seem to be on the fringes,
to pull them into the community. Finally, every
camper connects with their dorm leader,
concerning their spiritual journey and how
they can cross from death to life. (John 5:24)
Camp Assurance is a place where you
belong. Many youth in northeast Nebraska
may only have a handful of believers in their
school. At Camp Assurance, we focus on
what we have in common, a relationship with
Jesus Christ, or at least that potential, minimizing
cliques based on social, geographic,
ethnic, or economic status. (Rom. 15:5-7)
Camp Assurance is a mission out-post for
northeast Nebraska and beyond. Our passion is
to enable campers and staff to go into towns
and villages around Camp Assurance, sharing
the Good News. We believe that this is best
done in teams informally at BBQs and swimming
pools and in more formal ways through
VBS’s, service projects, and other community
outreaches. (Rom. 12:3-8)
Camp Assurance is a place of active mentoring.
It is our goal to model and communicate
a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
from one generation to the next. This often
happens through older staff taking
younger staff and campers with them
as they spiritually engage those outside
the camp community.

At Camp Assurance we desire to expose
campers and staff to God’s heart for the
world. Knowing that God is powerfully at
work beyond our geographic and cultural
limitations, we enable campers and staff to
learn about what God is doing around the
world. We also challenge them to “go into all
the world and make disciples,”
including places that often have a greater
hunger for God’s Word than our
corner of northeast Nebraska.
